I would love one of these here in the states
Bright,Awesome🚨
Alabama state police brought me here
What's the type of adapter you used to power it?
I use Alinco DM330MV
Southern vp is the one I have
Love it, so beautiful. The CHiP‘s intro fits great. Is it for sale?
Not for sale
I'm looking to buy one of these and I'm having a bit of a hard time
Hello, what type of speker have you used? Thanks a lot
I used hold basic speaker 100W 11 Ohms
@@roaddevil76 Thanks a lot

I have both and Viper is brighter but Whelen is more compact
I love the chips theme!
Je Suis À La recherche Une Même Sirène 🚨 à quelle prix merci beaucoup
Je ne vends pas de sirène.
ou peut on en acheter une svp ?
how much for the siren
I guess the siren we took off a 5 ton military wrecker, was invisible!!
Ambulances, and Wreckers.
Ross Dickens wreckers don't have sirens
why would military vehicles have sirens?
Maybe it was military police's vehicles
ambulances..
hello, can I have a question? did you not experimented problems with that beacon? the company also says it has been stopped producing cause the rotator motor becomes so hot after just 10-15 minutes of working that is simply stops and doesn't moove anymore (in best of case, after it became cold again). Do you know something about this? oR what is your experience?
Hi, I have no problem with my beacon because it is in my collection and is not used now. But it was often used by the first owner while ten years without problems.
roaddevil76 oK thanks and for example in your country is it in use a lot, I mean ambulance, police etc etc? is it a popular rotating emergency light?
+HUN-ESP ANDRAS It is not popular in France because the price is more expensive.
+roaddevil76 OK and can you tell me please what models are popular in France? I really would like to know that cause sometomes I can see that In France you use very different models from the other european counties' models. Here we use in 90% federal Signal, before (like till 3-4 years ago) almost only Code3, so Federal Signal we can say is new enough here but of course it is exepnsive, yes but it is also a very good quality.
it is good !LIKE!

Que chulo el video
Is the short-depth siren speaker driver less loud than the older, much heavier, deeper 100W driver? Recently replaced a Federal Signal TS100's speaker driver with a short-depth driver. Seems less loud. Thank you.
Nice beacon. Do you know where I could get one? Thanks.
Martin Reat Emergency Responses On Ebay perhaps or elightbars.org/forums/
Ok, thanks!
Only one thing I can say-------------JEEPERS.......................

do they use this siren in clearwater florida?
Magnifique présentation Road ;)
On essaie ;-)
:) bravo ! ;)
When you buy the siren off a website, does the speaker come with it?
I had a pancake light in the 80's but it was the cheap knock-off model by Southern Vehicle Products (SVP). The first one literally burned up within the first month so SVP sent me a second one which worked great. Seems the first version used a slightly different internal design than later units did. The 12-volt motor in the first light was attached to and rotated with the reflector like the Fireball-II light did but I'm guessing it was a bit too much of a load for the SVP light, but the replacement light had the motor fixed to the metal framework the way the FS and S&W models did. Back then there wasn't near the interior emergency light options we have today.
I still have one of those SVP pancake lights. It's the model 1168HX and the quality is so-so... nothing compared to the Federal Signal in the video or the Smith & Wesson version. Both of those are top quality lights. The SVP pancake works but their 1166 teardrop lights are much better. Personally I wouldn't waste my money on a pancake unless it was an S&W or FS brand.
@@johnhancock6114 If you look at the design of the light in the video and your SVP pancake light (I have a few of them myself), there really isn't any difference the way these two brands were made. Smith & Wesson also made a similar pancake light and it used a similar design to the first edition SVP1168 pancake light, which was completely different on the inside. I have both model types (early and later SVP pancake) and there is indeed a night & day difference in their internal design. The early SVP pancake light had a lead counter-balance weight to offset the weight of the reflector, bulb and the motor which all rotated together. The S&W pancake was very similar but doesn't have the lead counter-weight. I personally prefer the counter-weight because I think it provides a smoother running, longer lasting light because the weight is evenly offset on each side. I know a couple people who own the S&W model and they both said they wish their S&W pancake light used the same counter-weight method as the cheaper early SVP pancake lights did. My early edition SVP pancake was made in 1984 but the newer pancake design was made in 1988. The new design is much simpler and was much less costly to make and, unlike the earlier edition, there wasn't much that could go wrong with the newer design. The only newer design pancake I ever had problems with wasn't because of the light itself but because some idiot tried to do some kind of modification to the light and only managed to screw it up and sadly it became a parts-only light. I actually love my SVP1168 pancake lights and the early edition model is quite rare today because you just never see them anywhere and the only ones you do see are the later design model, which are everywhere. I have the early design and 2 of the later design models and they all work perfectly. I noticed the old design has a larger reflector vs the newer design but the newer ones seem to still be plenty bright.
I personally think the SVP model would look a lot better had they incorporated a metal band around the base the way the S&W and Federal Signal Corp models do. I think having a retaining band around the base with a label on it just looks more professional. It seems SVP just used a simple twist on/off dome design, which IMHO, gives their model a somewhat "cheapened" appearance.
You should have showed them with the room lights on but alternated these two so people could see their light output by themselves, then with the room light off. Turning them both on at the same time doesn't really demonstrate what each light can do on their own. I used to have three Fireball-II's with the optional mirror attachments and this was one hell of a halogen rotating dash light. Everything Federal Signal made back then was top notch :)
Hi Roaddevil76....I have the Abrams version of these lights and can't figure out how to change the pattern. What did you do to make the patterns change on the Whelen? Thanks for your help!
TO CHANGE PATTERNS: To advance to the next available pattern apply +12VDC to the WHT wire for less than 1 second and release. To cycle back to the previous pattern apply. To cycle back to the previous pattern apply+12VDC to the WHT wire for more than 1 second and release.
I call that a ferdeal q siren
yes only one but it works like new.....Thanks
Only one light
Ive got the ""Same( Blue Pancake ) light"" had it since the 1980s i am trying to get a video of it on my PC but i dont have a Micro Card reader,How much are these lights going for? thanks
